About¶
These sections detail the construction behind the Emitter-Observer problem in terms of the theory of General Relativity (GR) as well as how GREOPy works conceptually.
While this is meant as a brief introduction on the EOP with as little prior knowledge as possible, starting with a rigorous derivation from scratch is outside of this documentation’s scope. If a concept in the following sections is unknown to the reader and is not explained, it will be found in any standard textbook on GR.
Of course the package can be used without knowing all this background information. For a tutorial on how to use the package, please refer to the quickstart section.
